Eating healthy is never the easiest option; however, I have found some foods that I really love, that are also healthy. I have created some yummy breakfast options to help you decide what to eat in the morning! So, without further ado: here are some of my favorite healthy breakfast foods!
I'd like to start by saying that I try very hard to listen to my body. That being said, I do not always feel hungry in the mornings, so sometimes I will drink my water and have a cup of coffee and that's all. It is okay to eat in the morning and it is okay to not eat in the morning, just listen to your body, it knows what it needs :)

If I am feeling not so hungry in the mornings, but I still want something to eat, I gravitate toward peanut butter toast and berries. Nut butters are a great source of protein and they hold you over for a good amount of time. I also love a burst of antioxidants in the morning, so berries are the way to go. I get my sourdough bread and peanut butter from sprouts and I try to keep fresh produce on hand, washed and ready to eat. I find that the more convenient I make my access to healthy foods, the more I will eat them.
If I am feeling hungry or if I have somewhere to go, I usually eat oatmeal. I

like the quick oats that you make on the stovetop and I also like instant oats that you can make in the microwave. There are so many ways to eat oats, but my personal favorite is with frozen blueberries (they get melty but stay chilled in the warm oats), a scoop of peanut butter, and a pinch of cinnamon. It tastes like peanut butter and jelly oatmeal!

Another great breakfast option is protein pancakes. I get the chocolate chip Kodiak brand and they are so yummy. These are a good source of protein first thing in the morning and they are simple to make. I just add a cup of water and a cup of batter and mix it together. I like these protein pancakes because they don't taste grainy like some other ones I've tried. I top them with honey and berries.
My final breakfast idea is great when you have somewhere to be and it doesn't take much time or preparation, a breakfast smoothie! Here is what I put in my tropical breakfast smoothie:
- one cup of blueberries

- one cup of frozen spinach
- half a cup of frozen bananas
- half a cup of frozen pineapple and mango
- half a cup of plain oats
- a spoonful of coconut yogurt
- a cup of coconut milk
I hope you found this to be helpful and I hope this inspires you to start the day healthy! If you like this post, check out what I eat in a day for more food ideas!
